School-Aged Youth Programs (ages 6-12) provide educational enrichment using a dynamic STEAM/L (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math & Literacy) framework, as well as recreational opportunities and community engagement activities - all designed to improve academic achievement, promote healthy lifestyles and strengthen life skills.

Safe Place at Story School is an after-school program offered at Story Elementary located in the Miller Valley neighborhood. It provides academic support, educational enrichment and recreation during the school year and through a summer program.

NH Food Pantry. After the only food pantry serving the Near Westside closed abruptly in early 2020, the Hunger Task Force approached NH about starting a new Food Pantry at our main site. It was a request we gladly stepped forward to fulfill. The pantry officially opened in July 2020 and provides a Full Choice Food Pantry. This allows participants to select items they prefer from a weekly menu of nutritious foods on Wednesdays and Thursdays each week.

Teen Program (ages13-19) empowers teens to make healthy choices, avoid or reduce drug and alcohol use, develop leadership skills and make positive contributions to the community. We also promote their active engagement in education and vocational preparation, as well as provides academic enrichment experiences and financial literacy. Recreation and organized sports help youth develop athletic skills, promote teamwork, leadership and healthy lifestyles.

Environmental Education (EE) is one of the oldest environmental education program in Milwaukee, EE offers enrichment activities provide science-based education and direct engagement in environmental stewardship that instills a sustainable appreciation for urban and rural natural resources.
